Get in the mood with music by The Embers

Nothing says summer fun along the Cape Fear Coast like beach music.  A party like no other with renown bands plus loads of family fun with food, prizes and lots of dancing.

The Battleship NORTH CAROLINA (BB55) is pleased to announce the artists for the highly anticipated Beach Music Festival on June 11, 2011, at Battleship Park.

The event will be host to: Mark Roberts and the Breeze, Jim Quick and the Coastline, Band of Oz, The Tams, Chairmen of the Board and The Embers. More info on the bands can be found here.

A party like no other, the 2011 concert is in celebration of the Battleship's 50th anniversary of being moored in Wilmington. With the best view of downtown Wilmington overlooking the Cape Fear River, the feeling of summer will refresh the senses and the sound of music will fill the ears of all those who attend.

Blankets and beach chairs are welcome, but don't plan on sitting long because when the music starts your feet will be moving to the grooving.

The Battleship NORTH CAROLINA would like to thank partner sponsors Coastal Beverage, Fat Tony's, Jammin 99.9, Star News Media, Wachovia A Wells Fargo Company and WECT, friend sponsor and associate sponsors Livin Out Loud and Encore Magazine.

Gates will open at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2011, with the first act starting around noon. Tickets are $18 in advance on the event website or $22 the day of at the Visitor's Center ticket window. During the Music Festival, the Battleship and Visitor Center Store will remain open.
