The Battleship offers a PME (Professional Military Education) for interested military groups. The half-day (4- to 5-hour) experience includes a three-hour program plus self-guided tour opportunity. The custom-designed program may include presentations on and exploration of the ship’s main, secondary and small antiaircraft weapons; a behind-the-scenes look at iconic artifacts; a climb up the 10-story fire control tower for an unforgettable view of the Wilmington area. Following the presentations, groups may enjoy a self-guided exploration of Battleship NORTH CAROLINA, one of the most decorated battleships of World War II. The program is available for the special military rate of $15 per person, which includes the $10 admission fee.
The program is for groups of 15 to 40 military personnel. Programs are not given on Sundays, holidays or evenings. Programs must be scheduled in advance.
