FRIENDS OF THE BATTLESHIP DAY

June 16 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 pm

We’re bringing North Carolina’s World War II history to life through science with two special engagements featuring a guest speaker from the Monitor National Marine Sanctuary, Mr. Tane Casserley, Research Coordinator and Maritime Archaeologist, NOAA’s Monitor National Marine Sanctuary.

FREE with Battleship Admission

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

8:00am – Battleship Opens

10:00am – 12:00pm – Guided tours

12:30pm – Join us in Auditorium for a special presentation by Mr. Tane Casserley

  • War on America’s Doorstep!

2:00 – 3:30pm – Guided tours

4:00pm – Join us in Auditorium for a special presentation by Mr. Tane Casserley

  • U-boats Off the Mid-Atlantic Coast!

8 pm – Battleship closes

4-10 pm Picnic in Battleship Park (Food Trucks). Trolley Stop /Ironclad Brewery

7:30 pm – FREE NOAA Film  – “Big Screen” (Bring chairs & Blankets)
