The Battleship NORTH CAROLINA will welcome spring by having their 2nd annual Easter Egg Hunt in Battleship Park. This event will take place on Friday, April 10, 2009. Program times are 9:30 am, 11:30 am, and 2:00 pm. This event is for children ages 2-9 years old. It is $5 per child and pre-registration is required. Please call (910) 251-5797 to register or for more information.
This event will be include games and activities along with the egg hunt including musical chairs, a bean-bag toss, “Pin the Tail” on the Easter Bunny, and various Easter crafts. Children will be divided into two groups: 2-5 year olds and 6-9 year olds for the egg hunt.
“Last year, we had just over 200 children and we all had a blast,” says Programs Director, Danielle Wallace. “Since everything went so well last year, we have decided to only add a few Easter-themed crafts for the children,” she added. The length of the program will be around 45 minutes to an hour.
The program will begin with the children playing whatever game they choose, or doing a particular craft. Then, when everyone is ready, the hunt will begin. “The hunt is definitely the climax of the day. It is so fun to see everyone racing around for their egg treasures,” says Shelly Robinson, Public Affairs Assistant.
