Lesson 12 - Report on the role of the Battleship NC in WWII


Subject: Language Arts - Grade Level: 5


Objective

Student will integrate reading, writing, and social studies curriculum areas by writing and producing an informational report on the Battleship NC and its importance during WWII.

Materials

  • Battleship Website
  • Battleship oral history transcripts
  • Encyclopedia (1)
  • Books

Activities/Procedures

Student will write an information report on the Battleship NC and the important role it played in WWII. Student must have a bibliography of at least 3 resources (only one Encyclopedia).

Assessment

Teacher evaluation score sheet and feedback and information writing self-assessment checklist.
