Lesson 2 - Bar Graphs


Subject: Mathematics - Grade Level: 3,4


Objective

Student will use data from Administrative Organization of the Battleship North Carolina to construct a bar graph that displays visually the number of men from each of the 7 Departments that is responsible for the operation of the ship.

Materials

  • Organization Profile Sheet of the Battleship North Carolina that lists the Administration and the 7 different departments.
  • Graph paper

Activities/Procedures

Student will take the number of men represented in each Department of the ship and construct a bar graph to visually represent this number on graph paper to show each department’s role in the overall operation of the ship.
