Wilmington, NC – January 20, 2022 – Battleship NORTH CAROLINA will be closed to visitors Friday, January 21, because of forecast inclement weather. The Ship is expected to open to the public at noon Saturday, January 22, as conditions allow.

An ice storm warning is in effect for the area with significant icing expected, according to the National Weather Service.

It is always recommended that visitors monitor tide and weather information before visiting low-lying areas of the Cape Fear Coast such as the Battleship.
